Magnesium Trisilicate


Widely used in manufacture of antacid tablets & liquids, we are offering wide range of magnesium trisilicate in light as well as heavy variety. It is also used in talcum powder as prickly heat powder, antioxidant, decolouriser and odour absorbent. Its detail specifications are given below: • Description : Fine white powder, free from grittiness odourless, slightly hygroscopic • Solubility : Practically insoluble in water and in ethanol 95 % • Alkalinity : Complies as I.P./B.P./U.S.P. • Arsenic : Not more than 4 ppm • Heavy Metals : Not more than 40 ppm • Chloride : Note more than 500 ppm • Sulphate : Not more than 0.5% ppm • Acid absorption : Not less than 100 ml. of 0.1m Hydrochloric acid required to neutralize 1.0 gm • Water soluble salts : Not more than 30 mg per Gm • Loss on Ignition : Not less than 17.0% & not more than 34.0% • Magnesium oxide : Not less than 29.0% • Silicone Dioxide : Not less than 65.0%
